There are four characteristics to verify the quality and price of colored diamond:
Carat Weight: The more a colored diamond weighs, the higher is its price.
Cut: The cut of the stone influences its color greatly, when a perfect and symmetrical cut is gained, a most amount of light will pass through the diamond and be mirrored through the table.
Colour: The more a stone is colored, the more it is wanted, Red diamonds are the most exceptional, followed by green, blue, pink pale and yellow ones. The existence of boron in a diamond gives it blue color; yellow, green and brown diamonds contain nitrogen, while pink diamonds reveal traces of manganese.
Certificate: A certificate testifies the authenticity and qualities of a natural diamond.
Clarity: Inclusions are not all that important for bright colors, but in the case of light ones, they can stop color from being reflected by making it stronger. In that case, a purer gemstone is chosen to one showing more inclusions.
